The collective study of the Greeks and Barbaras of the Northern Black Sea region in the Scythian era is an original systematic development of the main spectrum of issues, which, together forming the problem of the Greco-Warbaric relationship in one of the largest units of the ancient borderland.
The northern Black Sea region, starting from the moment the first Hellenic colonies (hysteria in North Dobruj, Borissfen and Olbia in the Lower Panticia and Panticapale in the North-East Crimea) and ending with the collapse of the Great Scythia under the blows of the Sarmatians. The monograph is the first in historiography by an attempt to form a completely balanced, in its most important parts and provisions, a picture of the history of this specific region of an ancient oikumena in terms of the results of the contacts of the two main ethnocultural stratums of the population-plowed farmers and nomadic workers. It is based on a new concept of interactions of various forming human societies of the era of early iron, developed by the authors within the framework of many years of historical and archaeological study of the monuments of ancient culture of the Northern Black Sea region. The book is addressed to archaeologists, ethnographers and all those interested in the history and culture of the ancient world
