The book is the first monographic study of the Kingdom of Ermanarich of the 4th century. Based on the analysis of the entire corps of narrative, linguistic and archaeological sources, as well as the study of a rich historiographic heritage, the process of forming Ostrogetan statehood is first reconstructed, its place in worldwide and domestic history is clarified. Deep changes in the life of the population of the south of Eastern Europe in the era of the great relocation of peoples were identified and comprehended. The study sheds light on the origins of European civilization, when an ethnic map of modern Europe, "barbaric statehood, writing and law were formed at the turn of antiquity and the Middle Ages.
