Bertold Spoler"s book is dedicated to the history and culture of the Golden Horde. When creating his fundamental work, the German scientist relied on an extensive circle of sources. Considering the history of the Horde state, the author is by no means limited to political history. He also unfolds the ups and downs of religious relations before the reader, analyzes the system of the state system, dwells on legal aspects, pays attention to military affairs, explores the economy, talks about art. He does not bypass his attention and issues of everyday life, such as food and clothing.
