The authors of this unique international collective work are leading historians from Denmark (M. Ting), Iceland (J. Olafsson), Norway (S.G. Holtsmark), Finland (K. Rentola, T. Saarela) and Sweden (L. Bjerlin) . They studied in detail the problems of financing the activities of the communist parties of the Northern European countries by the Comintern, the RSDLP (B) (later - RCP (b), the All -Union Communist Party of Council of Ministers, CPSU), as well as some of the ruling parties of the socialist states of Eastern Europe, relying primarily on valuable ones , sometimes unique documents stored in the largest archives of Russia, countries of Scandinavia, Great Britain, Germany, Poland. These many years of research are of interest, since they trace the features and evolution of financial and other material support of the Communist Parties and close to them in each of the countries of the mentioned region. In addition, the book has an application that publishes some documents from Russian archives.
