The book tells about the participation of the Danube military flotilla in the Great Patriotic War. The first Russian flotilla in the Danube was created in the XVIII century for the war with Turkey. In January 1918, the flotilla acted against the Romanian troops, in February of the same year she departed to Odessa, where in March it was captured by German troops. During the Great Patriotic War, the sailors of the flotilla, newly created in 1940, on small river light-armed ships heroically fought in the Danube, Black and Azov Seas, participated in Yasko-Kishinevskaya and other operations. The study for the first time gives the tactical and technical characteristics of the ships of the Danube Military Flotilla
