This book will be useful not only to those who study the history of ancient Rome, but also to those who want to better understand the foundations of classical European culture.
At the beginning of the book, general information is given about Roman pagan cults and their influence on the development of European and world culture. Along with the information on purely Roman beliefs, information contains information about other religious cults that have become more or less widespread in the Roman power, especially the cults that existed in Rome during the late republic and during the empire.
In a separate large chapter, in alphabetical order, information about the Roman gods, goddesses and deities, mythological heroes and their exploits, as well as about the main pagan cults that existed in ancient Rome, are presented.
Readers learn about how the images of the gods, goddesses and plots of Roman mythology were used in imperial propaganda, get acquainted with the features of the struggle for power and influence that was conducted between various religious cults. The applications give a "brief chronology of the appearance, development and decline of ancient Roman pagan beliefs", lists of names of coins and names of Roman monetarians in the Latin language mentioned in the book.
