Six books of the memoirs of Sir W. Cherkel "World Crisis" are one of the most important historical documents dedicated to the First World War. None of the serious studies of this period were without references to many years of work of one of the most significant politicians of the 20th century. It brightly and with knowledge reflects the causes, course and consequences of a global conflict that destroyed the empire and redrawn the map of Europe, which contains many factors affecting life and current generations. Translated into dozens of foreign languages, it has never been completely published in Russian, which gave rise to many scientific and sub -scientific interpretations, and sometimes frank speculation. The events described in the second book occurred exactly 100 years ago, in 1915: the battle for the Dardanella, the beginning of the underwater war, the battle of Dogger Banks and many other episodes of this tense military year, set out by a great man who was directly related to all decisions. that influenced the development of events and determined the further course of history. The book is intended for both scientists and a wide range of readers interested in the history of the First World War of 1914-1918. Maps are attached to the publication
