Vasily Grigoryevich Yangchevetsky (V. Yang, 1875-1954) created the historical trilogy "Invasion of the Mongols", which includes the novels "Genghis Khan", "Batu" and "to the last sea". The novel “Genghis Khan "describes the conquest of the Mongol -Tatars of the Khorezm Khanate, their invasion of Iran, the Caucasus and the South Russian steppes, the battle of Kalka in 1223. The central figure in the novel is Genghis Khan. V. Yang showed him as a cruel and treacherous commander, with a crazy thirst for power over the world. The author talks about the last years of the existence of the powerful Khorezm Khanate at that time and the preparation of Genghis Khan for the decisive seizure of this khanate.
