The training manual reveals the basic concepts and terms of digital cartography, the fundamental sequence of creating digital cards is given, the technology for designing cards is characterized in detail, a brief review of the software is given, which is used in various cards. Particular attention is paid to the theoretical and practical aspects of working with spatial data, the compilation of maps on their basis and the preparation of materials for publication. It is important that the training manual reflects both traditional approaches to the design and compilation of cards of the University School of Cartography, as well as relevant methods that allow more effectively creating digital cards.
