From the history of research and development of maralism in Altai. XVIII - beginning of the XX century. Collection of documents

The collection of documents is dedicated to one of the unique classes of the inhabitants of Altai - Malovod, its occurrence, the initial stages of development since the appearance of the Russian population in the Altai Mining District and until 1917.
Documents, most of which are published for the first time, reveal various aspects of the development of maralism and its use in agriculture, medicine.
Much attention in the collection is paid to the legislation regarding hunting for a valuable beast, the development of trade with China products of mashed potatoes.
The materials of the collection will be useful to all the history of the Siberian region, the economic activities of its inhabitants, as well as the problems of preserving the natural wealth of the region
