The book that you hold in your hands is unique. For the first time in 77 years, it publishes transcripts of conversations with warriors of the 3rd Guards Fighter Aviation Division. The interviews were taken from 36 people: pilots, staff, political and technical workers of the division department, the 32nd and 63rd Guards fighter aviation regiments. In addition, the conversations tell about the warriors of three more aviation units: the 1st Guards, the 163rd and 521st fighter regiments. The conversations recorded during the war are exceptional in content and frankness. They were not subject to editing, censorship did not reach them. People said what they thought - about their life and the war path, about the war, about friends and colleagues. About each of the warriors who left the interview, the book is given in the book on the basis of archival sources Essays. And the transcripts themselves are equipped with detailed comments and certificates of personalities mentioned in the text. Combat accounts of almost eight dozen Soviet aces are also clarified.
