All the attention of the Manchu emperors was focused on well -being within the Celestial Empire: eliminating errors of the Ming dynasty, protecting against warlike neighbors and joining their territories to the empire, pacing the Huanghe lupus, the preservation and increase of cultural heritage. At the same time, absolutism began to interfere with the foresight of the emperors - China tried to close the borders from the world, enjoying the prosperity, which would be temporary.
