The royal court of France is represented from the point of view of institutional and political history, as a result of the long evolution of various structural units of the intra -brown or national order, formed in the early Middle Ages. Its key functions of the power, ceremonial, representative nature are analyzed, associated with the formation of the absolute monarchy in the XV-XVI centuries. A special place is given to the folding of an independent ladies" yard, along with the acquisition of power by queens of France. The political fates of the Renaissance court during the religious wars of 1559-1598 are highlighted. And the causes of the decay of the brilliant court of Valois are analyzed
