The French revolution of the 18th century is unique in that its experience has been in demand and relevant for more than two centuries. She is a reference point and a matrix for all subsequent revolutions, whose participants were equal to her, imitating her or trying to surpass her. It is not surprising that today historians and sociologists see in it an ideal model for studying the dynamics of revolutions in general and identifying their general laws, turn to her experience again and again, trying to understand how the revolutions occur and develop. The people living in more than two centuries ago in bold wigs and camisols were not as far from us, as it might seem at first glance ...
