In the history of Denmark, Sweden and Norway, the period from the end of the XIV to the beginning of the XVI century is a special time. Formally preserving the self -government, these kingdoms concluded the union under the rule of the common monarch. The agreement was drawn up in 1397 in the city of Kalmar, hence its name is the Kalmar union. This book discusses the stages of the union, sources - documents and chronicles are analyzed, and reviews of scientific discussions are given. The appendix contains the transfers of documents of the Kalmar union performed by the author
