The history of fascism is strange and original: almost a hundred years ago it appeared in the historical arena and for half a century has left it, but to this day this mysterious political phenomenon has not lended to a rational historical definition, despite thousands of books and articles dedicated to it. It is strange and original and the history of its interpretation: it is so contradictory, the point of view on the nature of fascism is so opposite that sometimes there is simply no hope that someday we will come to a relatively single opinion on this score.
Emilio Gentile I do not agree with those who do not recognize the fascism of any original history, and believes that the desire to “defaching” fascism turns into a clear falsification of historical reality. The book contains not only the introduction of fascism in the history and interpretation of fascism, but also the essays in which the author lays the foundations of his own interpretation of this phenomenon of human history
