Two leading Russian Kitacists, world -class scientists, Alexei Bokshchinan and Oleg Nesomnin, undertook to write a boring history of medieval China. So that, on the one hand, everything in the book was described academically accurately - events, heroes, details of everyday life - and on the other, to be exciting to read to those who have long been interested in China, and those in whom this interest only wakes up. As a result, a living narrative turned out, where there was a place for the battles, and the struggle for power, and the details of the court life with its ceremonial, luxury, intrigues, hames, kitchen and costumes.
