The monograph is devoted to the process of influence of expert knowledge carriers on the adoption of political and managerial decisions. The first part of the book considers primarily different types of examination, models of interaction between the expert community and the authorities. Scientific discussions on this subject are analyzed here, which are carried out both in foreign and Russian scientific literature. The second part of the publication presents the results of our studies of the practices of the interaction of experts and power in the process of making political and managerial decisions in Russia both at the federal and regional levels. At the same time, the problems of regulatory examination and expert support of political and managerial decisions are considered. The author hopes that the book will be useful to all those scientists, students and practices who want to figure out why the constructive influence of the expert community on the adoption of power decisions of modern Russia is so difficult
