Finland is a relatively young state, which has become independent as a result of a revolution in the Russian Empire in 1917. Nevertheless, the history of the coexistence and interaction of Russia with it goes back to the depths of centuries. Since ancient times, Russian merchants and diplomats, even negotiating with the Swedish Yela and Kings, especially distinguished the Finnish people and the lands inhabited by them. However, after 1917, relations between the two countries began to rapidly deteriorate, which led to two wars: in 1939-1940 and in 1941-1944. After the collapse of the USSR, Finland continued to move away from Russia and currently takes a pronounced hostile position.
