One of the main problems of the European International Policy of the Border of the XVI-XVII centuries. There was the creation of a wide anti -O -O -Ottoman coalition, an important place in which Russia and Persia were given. Initially, Russia acted as an active participant and intermediary in negotiations between Western Europe and Persia. However, having occupied the tsarist throne in 1598, Boris Godunov concentrated all his efforts on maintaining and strengthening his own, having lost interest in foreign policy. In the current situation in 1604, the Roman Kuria sent its own embassy to Persia, consisting of monkovkarmelites. The route of the embassy lay through the territories of the Commonwealth and Russia. Papal diplomats turned out to be participants in the events associated with the unexpected death of Boris Godunov and the "accession" on the throne of the Rurikovich of False Dmitry I. The Carmelites were the only diplomatomans who became direct witnesses of Russian Troubles. Due to the feud and riots, they managed to get to Persia only in 1608. Despite all the hardships and trials, Carmelites described in detail all the events, whose witnesses and participants had to be. Notes of Carmelites are an invaluable source that reflected the events of the Time of Troubles in Russia
