The textbook describes comprehensive natural, geological, geographical, hydrogeological and lithological studies based on modern geological and environmental theories and constituting the basis of environmental science.
Theoretical views on the ecology of the geological environment are expanded. The tasks of environmental geology and geography, as well as environmental hydrogeology and environmental lithology are substantiated. Attention is paid to the history of geoecological research in the development of new territories. The influence of the tectonic formation of geological structures on the environmental situation of the Lithosphere of the Earth has been investigated. The environmental zoning of the lithosphere and hydrosphere is given. The environmental characteristics of sedimentary deposits are given, with which minerals are associated with important industrial and environmental significance. The environmental properties of various types of mineral raw materials for their use in industry are considered.
