The second volume of the collection of documents contains indictments, the protocols of the court hearings of the military tribunals and their sentences, as well as other documents on criminal punishment of employees of the NKVD of the Ukrainian SSR, accused of violations of socialist legality in the period 1937-1938. The published documents illustrate the complex process of leaving great terror, reveal a variety of crimes committed by the NKVD employees during the Great Terror, characterize the degree of participation of the NKVD bodies, prosecutors and justice in criminal punishment "violators of socialist legality" and the specific results of this punishment.
