Tanner Berngard Leopold Francis, a Czech traveler, was in the service of Prince Mikhail Jerzy Charrati, with whom in 1678, as part of the Polish embassy, he went to Moscow to the court of Tsar Fedor Alekseevich. The author conducted his travel records almost daily, in time his trip was about 6 months. The composition of Tanner is interesting to information about politics, culture, art, everyday life of the 17th century society. The appendix gives other documents of that time: “A note by Prince B. Moshetsky and Dyak Protopov on the meeting of the embassy and conversations”, excerpts from the works of other foreign travelers, predecessors of Tanner (XV - XVI centuries) - Herberstein, Olearia, Fletcher. and etc
