Sevastopol became a key point in the defense of Crimea. By the beginning of the war, the Sevastopol defensive area was the most fortified place in the world. The Nazis threw the most selected divisions to storm. During the bloody battles, Sevastopol was lost, and then liberated by Soviet troops.
