Stonehenge was allegedly erected at the turn of the Stone and Bronze Ages, several centuries before the fall of the Homerovsky Troy. It was previously believed that, most likely, it was the temple of the Druids. But the British astronomer Gerald Hawkins proved that Stonehenge served as a kind of observatory, which allowed to predict the eclipses of the sun and moon, to calculate the exact dates of the season of the year and conduct the calendar. However, people still believe in the magical power of these stones, the touch of which, as it was believed, healed from all ailments
