Abdolkhosyn Zarrinkkub (March 19, 1923 - September 15, 1999) - an outstanding Iranian writer, historian, literary critic and translator. For more than four decades, he taught Persian literature, the history of Islam and Iran at Tehran University. His works on Sufism and heritage Jalal ad-Din Rumi are considered the most authoritative on this topic. He is one of the leading Iranian historians and the author of well -known works on the history of Iran and Islam. Many of his works became bestsellers in the Iranian book market thanks to his brilliant literary style and manner of feeding material.
