The work provides an overview of the works of academician Vladimir Viktorovich Laptev in the field of economic (entrepreneurial) law, in particular the fundamental foundations of the doctrine of business entities. The concepts and types of participants in economic activity in Russia are analyzed, disclosed in the doctrine of the "third school" of economic law. The scientific sequence and continuity of the views of V.V. Laptev are demonstrated, which influenced the future development of science and industry of entrepreneurial law, as well as ways to improve legislation on the subjects of law.
