The collection is devoted to various aspects of the relations of the USSR and Italy: the features of the inter -party relations of the CPSU and the ICP, the relations of the CPSU with other political parties in Italy, the economic, scientific and cultural relations of the Soviet Union and the Italian Republic. The submitted documents combined into a single complex comprehensively reveal the history of the development of relations between the two countries from 1953 to 1970
The collection includes more than 430 archival documents from the funds of the Russian State Archive of recent history (Rgani), among them unique materials The Presidium (Politburo) of the Central Committee of the CPSU, the apparatus of the Central Committee of the CPSU, personal funds of the first secretary of the Central Committee of the CPSU N. S. Khrushchev and the secretary of the Central Committee
the CPSU M. A. Suslov. Most of the published documents were previously in closed storage and were not available to the scientific community.
The publication will be interesting to diplomats, researchers and students, as well as to everyone who is not indifferent to the latest history of Russia and Italy.
