This publication consists of two parts.
The first part includes a scientific monograph To become a Japanese. Topography of the body and its adventure. ” This is the first comprehensive study of the history of the Japanese attitude to their body and the image of being in world Japanese. What did the Japanese think about their body? Why did they need it? Who belonged to? What did the Japanese dress and why undressed? How did the body get? Why did they believe that they needed to live for a long time? How did they seem to them to the European"s body? What were the Japanese shy and what were proud of? How were they treated and how were they tempered? How did the ideas about the body affect the course of history? What role did they play to preserve national identity?
The author studies the body of the Japanese as an important part of the historical process. We are talking about Japanese ceremonial behavior and its perception (including foreigners) and how this behavior changed under the influence of the Western barbarians. Japanese medicine, food, the attitude to sex, the human body and the body of the sovereign in the three most important historical Japanese eras - the Tokugawa era, when the country was in isolation from the rest of the world, the Meiji era, when foreigners appeared, and in the latest era, when a militaristic era was considered. The second part consists of art translations. This included “Stories in the palm of your hand”, written by Kawabata Yasunari (1899-1972)-the famous Japanese author, Laureate of the Nobel Prize in Literature. Kawabata wrote this book of stories all his life. The subtlest understanding of how a person born of Japanese culture was arranged, gave him international recognition, and in Japan the author was awarded the title of “human man”. Kawabat"s masterpieces allowed the whole world to feel what it means to be born and live a Japanese.
