The book considers the problem of judicial law -making as one of the areas of the Supreme Court of the United States, implemented mainly by interpretation of the federal constitution. The analysis of judicial technologies was carried out, the specifics of the general, case of the United States were revealed, and the techniques of comparative analysis are used. The concept of judicial lawmaking is based on the theoretical and historical analysis of American constitutionalism. The legal positions of judges and their attitude to judicial lawmaking at the beginning of the 21st century are considered, the phenomenon of "judicial conservatism" as part of political and legal ideology is highlighted.
