The British scientist Stephen Runximen tells the story of the Frankish states of Utremer from the time of the accession to the throne of King Baldwin I to the conquest of Jerusalem Saladin. The author focused on the Utremer, given that he existed during the period of active Western European policy and religious wars. The book is dedicated to numerous campaigns, since all life in the Utremer passed against their background, and the dangers characteristic of the battlefield often became fateful.
