The Battle of 1770 took place on June 24-26 (July 5-7) in the Aegean Sea off the west coast of Turkey between Russian and Turkish fleets. The Battle of Chesimen ended in the complete destruction of the Turkish fleet, which had many hopes. Assessing this battle, Admiral G.A.
