The monograph completes the trilogy ("Essays on the history of Alan", "Lower Arkhyz and Early Orthodoxy. Alanian diocese in the X-XII centuries").
Based on the fact that the state of Alania consisted of two parts - the Western (upper Kuban) and East (the upper Terek), the author divides his work, respectively, into two sections. The first of them is considering the Alan settlement of the X-XII centuries. On the river. Kyafar and his unique necropolis, led by the so -called "royal" dolmen.
In the second section dedicated to East Alania, a number of important issues regarding earthen fortresses and catacomb burial grounds and their burial rite, which reflected the ancient Iranian Zoroastrian features, are raised for the first time. A general geopolitical assessment of the Caucasian Alania, which existed until the Tatar-Mongol invasion of the 13th century.
