In the book "Byzantine culture and hagiography" are collected under one cover of forty -two texts published by the Doctor of Historical Sciences, professor of the Higher School of Economics S. A. Ivanov in the form of articles in periodicals and scientific collections from 1992 to 2020. Only one article is published for the first time, but at the same time thirteen were previously printed in foreign languages and are now first translated by the author into Russian. The four sections of the book publish works devoted to various aspects of Byzantine culture and, specifically, hagiography (that is, life literature), as well as the Byzantine-Slavic relations, the final section constitutes the work on the history of Byzantine studies. The articles of the collection give the first editions of eight medieval written monuments.
