Anatoly Aleksandrovich Bakhtiarov (1851-1916)-Russian writer, journalist, local historian, author of numerous essays, articles, guides in St. Petersburg and Moscow, their historical areas and sights. He studied at the teacher’s seminary in Moscow, then, in 1874, moves to St. Petersburg, where he teaches Russian in the St. Petersburg military-feldsher school. In 1901, he resigned and lives literary work. In the mid-1880s, he began work on a series of essays about the "St. Petersburg types", which are published in the newspaper, St. Petersburg News (later the essays were combined into the Battle of St. Petersburg cycle and were released in a separate publication) In 1888, he published a number of essays" belly of Moscow "in newspapers" Day and" News of the Day ".
