After the death of Vsevolod, his sons came together in the deadly struggle for the Grand Duke table, and this confrontation ended with a grandiose battle on Lipz in 1216. In this conflict, as in the mirror, all the problems of medieval Russia were reflected. The inability of close relatives to agree among themselves, the desire of some representatives of the highest elite at the expense of others, the irresponsibility of the rulers when making fateful decisions and the insane pursuit of the princes for military glory. The totality of all the above reasons led to the fierce bloodshed on Avdovaya Mountain. The battle on Lipica was a clear example of the meaninglessness and perniciousness of princely feuds.
