In the winter of 1941, during the battle for Moscow, the city of Klin was twice in the center of events. At the end of November, his capture by the enemy, it would seem, foreshadowed the early fall of Moscow. But already at the beginning of December 1941, a successful blow to the 30th Army in the direction of Klin put a German group acting against the right wing of the Western Front, on the line of disaster.
How this happened, how the city was lost, how our troops were able to return it and why in December it was not possible to inflict a more serious defeat in the book of Vasily Karasev.
When writing a book, materials of domestic and foreign archives were used, memories of participants in the events and works of military historians. The story is accompanied by cards illustrating every day of the operation, and photographs
