The appendix "Picturesque journey through the Crimea" Reginald Heber and Robert-Uylyam Hey.

As an appendix to the monograph "Bakhchisaray in the descriptions of foreign travelers of the late XVIII - early XIX centuries", an album is published, called its compiler "Picture time travel in the Crimea".
The basis of the album is 36 drawings with the types of Crimea and adjacent territories made by the British travelers Reginald Heber and Robert-Uielyam Heem in 1806-1807. These drawings contain medieval fortifications and religious structures of Kuffa (Feodosia) and Sudak, Kerch and Balaklava, the Palace of Crimean khans in Bakhchisarai and settlements on the southern coast of Crimea, the Karaite city of Chufut-Kale and coastal landscapes. Returning to England, Hei united the drawings into one album, joining them from travel diaries telling them about the past and present Tauris. English texts are translated into Russian, equipped with an introductory article and the necessary comments. Travelers, among other things, allow you to see a number of cultural heritage monuments as they were at the beginning of the Russian era in the history of Crimea, before many of them suffered from natural and anthropogenic factors. Finally, the notes of travelers allow us to understand how the image of Taurida was formed, which still defines the ideas and actions of the Western people.
For professional researchers, teachers and historians, as well as all those interested in the history of Crimea.
