More than 160 years have passed since the beginning of the eastern (Crimean) war (1853-1856), and its events in many respects remain with "white spots", requiring detailed study and in many rethinking, especially in the realities of modern geopolitics. The main idea of the book is a view of the Crimean war on the side that many of us do not even think about. It is known that awards are one of their main motives for people"s actions, the usual component of any war. But only a narrow circle of researchers thought about their meaning, social sense, influence on the behavior of people in a stressful situation, their motivation. In this sense, this work is rather an exception to the rules.
This is not a repetition of many, already repeatedly published, works about military pharyberry, but rather an attempt by a new, largely unexpected, view of the Crimean war.
