Homo Ludens is a fundamental study of the game nature of culture, which proclaims the universality of the phenomenon of the game. In the essay of the shadows of tomorrow, the darkened world, man and culture deeply investigated the causes and consequences of the spiritual impoverishment of European civilization on the eve of the Second World War and a forecast is given on the revival of culture in the post -war period. Three articles are devoted to philosophical and methodological issues of history and cultural studies, theoretical and moral approaches to culture. The author’s artistic talents are demonstrated by the ironic series of drawings dedicated to “Russian history”. The publication is equipped with an extensive scientific reference apparatus
