The book shows the history of the St. Petersburg craft with an administrative-proceeding, socio-economic and cultural and philosophical point of view throughout the St. Petersburg period of its history. An important role in it was played by craft workshops founded by decrees of 1721-1722. Their mixed composition from Russian and foreign artisans contributed to the transference of technology, the introduction of new skills and practices. To determine the subject of the craft, the concepts of the “art”, "science", "art" are considered. It is shown that the boundaries of the craft workshop during the period of protustralization did not end with its walls, but they could take place nearby or even intersect with manufactory, factory, factory not only in theory, but also in practice. Within the framework of social forecasting, an assessment of how craft practices and small forms of production can be built into the economic concepts of the future within the framework of sustainable development and green economy
