The battle for the Caucasus 1942-1943. became one of the most significant and long -lasting in the history of the Great Patriotic War. In the monograph of the candidate of historical sciences I.V. Kiselev examines the joint actions of the Soviet troops and the Navy during this battle. The main attention is paid to battles on the banks of the Black and Azov Seas: the struggle for Novorossiysk and the Taman Peninsula, battles near Yeisk, Temryuk and Tuapse. The book is written on the basis of numerous Soviet and German documents, diaries and memoirs of participants in battles, research of domestic and foreign historians. It is dedicated to the defenders of the homeland, Soviet soldiers and sailors who defended the Caucasus and conquered the victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945
