The study is devoted to the analysis of the armed protest of the Russian peasantry in the Central Chernozemye, on the Lower Volga and the Southern Urals at the final stage of the civil war. Based on the wide range of archival sources, the slogans of uprisings and the social composition of their participants were studied, regional features of the rebel movement were established, strategic ideas and tactical decisions of rural protest leaders were found out, an analysis of the constructive component of armed protest was carried out.
