Anti-Semitic pogroms on the territory of the Russian state

The monograph examines the topic that is little -known in Russian historiography: the eight -hundred -year history of anti -Jewish pogroms in the Russian state (from the 12th century to the February Revolution) The use of the term “anti -Jewish pogroms” is justified instead of the most often used words “Jewish pogroms”. Anti -Semitism has been adopted as the main cause of pogroms, the roots of anti -Semitism have been investigated. The attitude of the indigenous population to the Russian Jews is shown. Descriptions of the largest pogroms with a significant number of victims are given.
