The first book of the memoirs of Fedor Petrovich Rerberg (1868-1928) "All in the past" is a valuable source on the history of the armed forces of pre-revolutionary Russia. The hereditary military, Rerberg was trained in a privileged Page Corps, then hit the Semenovsky regiment in the Life Guards, one of the first guard regiments of Russia. From the first lips the reader learns about how the “white bone” of the Russian Imperial Army lived.
Despite the fact that the author wrote his memories already at a rather mature age, many details and smallest details have been preserved in his memory. The author tries to give a characteristic to each of the characters, to convey, if possible, his biography. The narrative is distinguished by a clear, relaxed style, and the memoirist language seems so simple that the reader will be able to feel like a contemporary of the events described.
The publication will be interesting to both researchers and a wide circle of readers
