Victory on September 8, 1380 was won as if with a direct opposition to Ryazan for the all -Russian case. But the place of battle - the strategic territory in the borderlands of Russia and the steppe - historically belonged to Ryazan. “Mamaevo Battle” was a turning point in the history of both principalities, “introducing” the region into the context of all -Russian history. After him, to Moscow, the “place of Tula” went to the interfluve of the Don and Oka - the nodular point in the defense of the border.
