The book is dedicated to one of the most prominent politicians in France of the 19th century, the bright representative of French liberalism Adolf Tiera. Having suppressed the Paris commune in 1871, Thier won the glory of a bloody dwarf for many years, a tough and merciless reactionary, and therefore a serious scientific study of his views and political activities was not carried out in Russia. The proposed work for the first time in Russian historiography is an attempt to show the evolution of views and the political activity of Adolf Thier as a representative of French liberalism of the first half of the 19th century. For a wide range of readers interested in the history of France, political regimes, social thought and social history
