The USSR - a large and strong state, located on 1/6 of the land - was a real achievement factory. In any industry, whether science, defense, culture or sport, in the Soviet Union there was someone and what to be proud of!
The main achievement of the Soviet era of the 1920s was the electrification of the whole country, the elimination of illiteracy, and overcoming the consequences of the revolution and the civil war. Education and medical care have become free for all Soviet citizens. The 1930s became the beginning of the time of grandiose construction projects: the units on the Dnieperges were introduced, and the White Sea-Baltic Canal was built. The 1940s are marked by the victory over fascism and the beginning of the restoration of the country. Among the achievements of the 1950s - a successful test of a hydrogen bomb, the launch of the atomic icebreaker "Lenin", the development of virgin lands of Kazakhstan, the Volga, the Urals, Siberia, the Far East. The "Cosmic Decade" of the 1960s showed that the USSR is the first in the world of space technologies that began the flight of Yuri Gagarin into space. The 1970s and 1980s are the triumph of Soviet culture: the glory of Russian ballet and hockey thunders around the world, the Olympics are held in Moscow.
