The Soviet political caricature is considered in the monograph as a holistic phenomenon in terms of its content, artistic features, thematic and propaganda orientation. Based on various sources, including archival documents newly introduced into the circulation, an attempt was made to identify and analyze the mechanisms of creating caricatures, the relationship of the satirist and government, the dynamics of changing the content of carications, depending on the situation in the country and in the world.
