Indian civilization is five thousand years, but Indian states appeared on the political map of the world only in 1947. India is the cradle of many religions. Buddhism was born here. On the planet, half a billion people profess this or that form of Buddhism, but in India herself there are only a few million people, and almost all of them live on the very edge of the country - in the Himalayas. India until 1947 was a home for a third of all Muslims in the world. They live here today, but in different states, some three quarters of a century ago, which were a single whole. Modern Pakistan, Bangladesh, India in each of these countries live today almost 200 million Muslims. In Indian civilization, there was a place for representatives of a variety of religions - from Jains and Sikhs to Christians, Jews and Zoroastrian. Many states of South Asia were born after the tragic collapse of the once single and great India. Almost 2 billion people in the world today speak hundreds of different languages of great civilization and understand each other well. This is probably the most amazing, large and contradictory civilization on the planet, which is written in the book presented to the reader’s court
